An attempt to supply drinking water to the tribal village of Amkhoi near Bolpur. Led to a revelation in 2006. While digging a pond. a lot of Wood Fossils were found and subsequent research revealed similar objects in other Waterbodies in the village as well. It is situated in between Bolpur and Illambazar near Dhalla. Forest Department of West Bengal Government has decided to build a park to display such rare and priceless fossils and that has paid off quite well.
