Just on the fringes of Shantiniketan, Bolpur, thare is a wonderful reserve forest of 02 sq. km. which was set up in 1977. Spotted Deers and Black Buck deers are seen here with gracious demeanour and elegant long horns. Visiting hours for the Deer park is 10:00 am to 03:30 pm with an exceptIon of Wednesday as it remains closed. The ideal time for watching deers closely is around 10:30 am when the attendants come to feed them. Some other animals like Jackals, Foxes and rare variety of water birds are also seen in Ballavpur Nature Park.
