A temple without an idol – Have you ever seen a temple without any idol inside it! Having difficulty in believing it? There is only one huge stone smeared with vermillion. Please come and pay a visit to Fulloratola temple in Birbhum where it is believed that Sati’s lips got dismembered and a temple exists since Bengali calendar year 1302. This is one of the 51 Sati Piths. Everyday Prasad is distributed among the devotees and pilgrims and normal visitors, simply no questions asked. A fair is organised for a month during the Bengali month magh and it starts on the first full moon day of that month. Millions of people come to visit the temple and fair during Maghi Purnima.
